After Hitlers succesfull “ethnical cleaning” of Norway, the Norwegians evacuate again, this time the babys of german soldiers with norwegian women. German blood was bad blood. The children are sent away to Lebensborn in Germany where they could be adopted, or to mental asylums. They are treatened bad, even sexually abused.
At least 1000 women who have had sex with german soldiers are put in quarantine on an island called Smøla, some are shaved, humiliated. Intelligence tests are done and an explanation is found: “ women who slept with german soldiers are stupid.” A Dr. called Adolf Hals is supposed to find out if the women have sexual deseases, therefore he keeps them prisoners up to six month on the island. Some few manage to escape. Virgins are released fast by Adolf Hals for their high moral standarts. A Norwegian minister Mr. Trygve Lie, had spend time in a german Kz during the war, when he discovered Adolf Hals quarantine he puts an abrupt end to it.
This nationalization of sexuality is restricted on the female gender, norwegian soldiers are not even asked about their sexual experiences with the occupant.
Until 2005 the widows of Norwegian soldiers who have been “tysketøss"/Deutschen Liebchen” do not get their pension.
The shame about the Norwegian cooperation with fascism is carried by the tyketøss/Deutschen Liebchen until their death. The lists with their names originally written by the Nazis are still in the archives.
Today there is not a single memoriam for the “tyskebarn” the children of norwegian women with german soldiers. No visible monument that tells every one: these are the carriers of our guilt, the hate about our own action went on those too young to understand why their blood was such that they were worthless.
But numberless monuments of Knut Hamsun and Hendrick Ibsen. High above, one has to look so far up to these monuments that to me as a german it must remind the fascist esthetics.
Markens grøde is the bestseller theatre play of nowadays Oslos throughout a year. Staged by a german director just the way the Norwegian love it: an homage to nature, an homage to Hamsun.
Not a word of apologie in the programm for the samis, being described as the unreliable people in this book written in the thirties, no small ironie about Hamsuns outstanding necrolog to Hitler. No border, no comment . “Hamsun, a fashist? He was to old! He was just stubborn! Samis, unreliable in markens grøde? Are samis reliable?”
Astonishment and anger about this national pride this 17th of mai, the “kranzekaken” a Norwegian almond ring cake with little norwegian marzipan flaggs.
But who am I to citisize? I am german. I am a german invading Norway, terrorising Norway-again. In Berlin terrorism is fashion. Its german terrorisms 30iest anniversary. 1977 was R.A.Fs most active year. “Deutscher herbst”. But even in Berlin the antifashistic, pacifistic, communistic voice of the terrorist groups slowly disappears behind all the entertainment. Terrorism is being terrorism for the sake of terrorism such as l’art pour l’art. Here in Norway the whole thing is far away, here you don’t aggress, you do not fight exept for world peace. Still the fashion of criticism arrives to national theatre, Berlin X-plotation is even more fashionable than terrorist entertainment.
